Apogee has an exciting opportunity for an Intern to support the corporate IT Team. In this role, you will provide basic technical support to employees by responding to Tier 1 help desk tickets and troubleshooting common hardware, software, and network issues. This role assists with routine IT tasks, equipment setup, and user account support while gaining hands-on experience in a professional IT environment. The intern will work closely with the IT team to ensure timely and effective resolution of user issues and contribute to maintaining smooth daily operations.
This is a part-time position working on-site in Dayton, Ohio, 2 days a week.
Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system.
Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues.
Log, track, and update support tickets in the IT service management system.
Escalate complex incidents to Tier 2 or senior IT staff as needed.
Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of workstations, laptops, and peripherals.
Support user account creation, password resets, and access management following IT policies.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software installs, updates, and system checks.
Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and common issues for knowledge-base updates.
Help maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
Follow established IT procedures, security guidelines, and best practices.
Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to all users.
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Certifications: CompTIA Security+
Education: High School Diploma
