Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a GEOINT Systems Engineer Support in support of the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate.
EPASS Program: (Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services) supports the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s ISR & SOF Directorate in equipping our warfighters with advanced intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and special operations capabilities. Candidates will help deliver responsive acquisition, sustainment, and modernization support for Air Force and allied missions worldwide.
This is a full-time position located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB).
GEOINT Engineering Services & Tech Development
Provide engineering support for identifying, testing, and integrating GEOINT technologies
Focus areas: I&TS, RDUCE, SAR, HALRGC, LADAR/LIDAR, Hyperspectral Imaging
System Requirements & Design Support
Translate DoD user needs into technical system requirements
Support concept development, trade studies, and subsystem reviews (e.g., power, thermal, fire protection)
Documentation & Review
Draft and review SOOs, SOWs, program plans, schedules, and regulatory documentation (SEP, LCSP)
Assist test teams with requirement and plan development
Proposal & Specification Analysis
Analyze proposals and modifications for cost, feasibility, and compatibility
Review specs and ICDs for compliance and performance alignment
Engineering & Performance Evaluation
Support cost, reliability, and maintainability assessments
Conduct design feasibility analyses and review system/component testing
Systems Integration & Acquisition Support
Provide integration support for sensor systems on manned/unmanned platforms
Develop integration/test plans and system architectures to identify gaps and recommend solutions
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS
Education: Bachelor's degree
Years of Experience: Minimum 25 years relevant experience to include:
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education: Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD.
Additional Experience:
Be able to apply DoD principles, including DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02, along with USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC Engineering Directorate, ISR & SOF Directorate, and Division-level policies to all AFLCMC/WIN engineering tasks. Perform data gathering, entry, analysis, and leverage expertise in the acquisition process
