- Minimum 1-year of adult teaching experience
- Experience using lesson plans to teach while applying adult learning theory in a classroom setting
- Experience operating SATCOM equipment
- Completion of Military Service intermediate or senior level Professional Military education, OR relevant service military or civilian experience.
- Deep expertise in MILSTAR/AEHF System Operations and Security; must know MILSTAR and AEHF constellations, unique protected comms features (anti-jamming, anti-scintillation, low probability of intercept/detection); crosslinking capabilities, and the intricate security protocols and key management systems associated with these bands
- Must have mastery of protected band waveforms and terminal operations (EHF, SHF, protected waveforms) and the operation, configuration, and troubleshooting of the diverse range of protected SATCOM terminals used across the different military branches. This includes understanding terminal security features and anti-jamming techniques implemented at the terminal level
- Advanced Knowledge of Protected Network Management and Control including key distribution and management, pre-planned product improvement (P3I) concepts and the procedures for managing protected communication resources for strategic and tactical users.
- Previous assignments held: MILSTAR/AEHF Satellite Systems Operator (Space Force/Air Force)
- Protected SATCOM terminal operator/maintainer (Army/Navy/Marine Corps)
- Spacecraft controller Trainee/junior controller (Space Force/Air Force)
- Acute organization and communication skills with strong public speaking
- Ability to work cooperatively, collaboratively, and respectfully with people inside and outside the organization to achieve mission goals
- Must also demonstrate a commitment to staying current on emerging threats, new protected communication technologies, and evolving countermeasures.
- Expertise in creating engaging and effective curriculum materials using instructional theories and applications
- Project management – Ability to manage projects efficiently and meet deadlines, involving the planning, execution, and monitoring of curriculum development efforts
- Assessment Creation and Analysis – Skill in developing diverse assessment tools to measure learning progress and effectiveness of the curriculum
- Technology Proficiency – Proficiency in Training Management Systems (PEX primary) and/or experience with Learning Management System (LMS) and educational technology tools to support digital and hybrid learning environments
- Data Analysis and Reporting - ability to track training and produce reports based on database entry analysis
- Proficiency in protected SATCOM anomaly resolution and reporting (identifying anomalies, troubleshooting, and reporting procedures unique to MILSTAR/AEHF)
- Have a comprehensive understanding of Mobile Constellation Control Station (MCCS) deployment and operations and how MCCS supports the operation and control of MILSTAR/AEHF constellations.
