Apogee has an exciting opportunity for an Equipment Specialist SME providing support to the NC3 Contract, specifically within the NCL Division of the AFNWC/NC3 Integration Directorate.
The NCL Division is responsible for sustaining globally deployed nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3) capabilities, including strategic MILSATCOM terminals, aircrew alerting, and messaging systems. As the Equipment Specialist you will provide in-depth technical support across the lifecycle of aircraft systems, subsystems, and support equipment, and lead configuration and maintenance management of legacy and transitioning systems.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.
This is a full-time position located on Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to an SCI and maintain it
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Years of experience: 15 years of directly related experience to include eight years of DoD experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Education: Master's Degree
Years of Experience: 10 years of experience as an Equipment Specialist
Additional Experience:
Extensive knowledge of DoD configuration management processes and documentation
Experience with Technical Orders, TCTOs, AFTO 22/252s, DRs, ECPs, and CCB processes
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, change orders, and maintenance manuals
Familiarity with R&M analysis, provisioning, CPIN, and digital technical order systems
Skilled in identifying DMSMS risks and sourcing hard-to-find parts and spares
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate with engineering, logistics, and sustainment personnel
Capable of providing detailed guidance and support to maintenance teams
Able to manage complex systems data across teams and lifecycle stages
