The primary focus of the Director of Growth is to develop and win unrestricted opportunities focused on the following service areas; Mission and Training support services, Enterprise IT/Cyber, Applications Management, Staff Advisory and Assistance Services (AA&S) that leverage Apogees prime capabilities and contract vehicles. This position will report to the Vice President of Growth and drive the organization’s strategic growth objectives by developing and refining and understanding of customers’ most important needs and creating/ leading winning capture strategies. This critical role will include responsibility for all aspects of business development to include strategic capture, proposal operations, pricing and partner strategy that leads to between 10-15 Prime proposals per year with a total value of between $80-150 million in total award value.
Skills required include:
- Experience in leading professional services captures and being responsible for; Business Development and progression to Capture, Pricing, Competitive analysis, Teaming.
- Demonstrated success in leading and growing DoD and/or Intelligence services business
- Understanding of DoD Mission Support ecosystem and customer requirements and trends
- Understanding of Large, Mid-Tier and Small Business partners as it relates to teaming
- Exceptional understanding of the Federal sales cycle; must have exceptional communications and writing skills; must be goal oriented and accountable to perform and achieve assigned growth objectives; must have the ability to develop and work with teams and manage others to accomplish goals.
- Understanding and experience with major GWAC’s such as GSA Astro, MAS, Oasis Plus, as well as an understanding of GSA’s Assisted Acquisition Services/Flex model.
- Ability to shape and identify DoD service level IDIQ’s and bring Apogee into a prime role.
- Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors
- Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior/mid-level officials and program stakeholders with the Customers and partner base
- Ability to identify key growth areas and develop new business aligned with the company's growth strategy
- Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behaviors in the market
- Excellent writing, communication skills with experience presenting to senior executives and customers
- Proven experience working with geographically diverse teams; strong coaching and mentoring skills. Proven ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries to achieve results through others.

- Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data about potential targeted pursuits, and develop marketing strategies

- Author and coordinate RFI responses and participate in Color reviews
- Work collaboratively with operations, infrastructure development, and Science and Technology (S&T) teams to identify opportunities for technological innovation
